This is the last segment of our themed yard sale posts. Below are some amazing finds from sales in bc, washington, oregon and california over the last few years. As you can see vintage kids toys and garden items are a must for us chickens. Happy Monday!
An old wash board that we use as a mini backdrop to our mexican feather grass planter. Couldn't even begin to imagine laundry back in the day with this method!
Mini cars for playing. Tonka knows how to make em' last.
We like to use our mantle piece to change up based on the season. Last summer I began colletcing old white milk vases. I love the beachy feel to these.
These were all toys that Lucie loved when she was teething. She still plays with them now too. It's amazing what an old set of play blocks and a mason jar can do for a 2 year old. And smokey the bear is just rad!
I'm currently obsessed with enamel ware. I love using these basins to collect veggies in the garden, present as serving dishes at gatherings and for the large one- soaking sore feet with rocks at the bottom and essential oils in warm water.
My aunt got me addicted to sun tea last summer, so I was super stoked to find this gem. If you've never tried suntea it is super simple and a dose of sunshine in a cup. Nothing more refreshing on a warm summers day.
O and I are big bookies. Well, I am... and he pretends to be! Regardless we both love finding original old books that smell musty and full of age and wisdom. Particularly classics, gardening manifesto's and truck manuals.
I couldn't resist these lil white scuffed up beauties. Is it me or did kids get dressed up more back in the day? I can never pass up an old globe. Currently have 2 and imagine needing a whole bunch of them for a store front display- for when we actually set up shop at our imaginary garden shop on main st one day!
This may be the most popular item of all for Miss Lucie. She still insists riding this bad boy (while all her friends have already mastered the strider bike). Radio Flyer's are timeless aren't they!
