This New Years we had the good fortune of jet setting ourselves off to NYC for a week of inspiration. A friend wrote to me about new york years ago. I couldn’t describe this any better way.
“Bring comfortable walking shoes. Think of it as a hiking trip. Hiking on cement. NYC offers you the ultimate urban experience. So embrace the urbaness of it. You want city, you got it. The museums and galleries are great, no matter what the feature exhibits. You can never take a bad turn. The subways and taxis are adventures all to their own. The history of NYC is nearly the history of North America. And when you are there, you feel every living part of it from the eyes to the heart to the bones. Rest up before you go, because it don’t stop at 10 pm. Its 24/7, full on rage, and you want to suck in as much as you can”

okay, a few things to say:
1. those awesome pics were NOT big enough. had to click on each one individually so i could appreciate them right.
2. really like the b&ws. really. did you take those all this trip?
3. kinda wanted the colours separated from the b&ws. just sayin'.
4. i'm also experimenting a lot with out-of-focus. let's make a weekly visual diptych blog mmmkay?
